Justice for Breakfast with Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse
On January 23, 2017, the Center for Justice, with U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, hosted an advocacy briefing and discussion for concerned lawyers to address anticipated changes in federal law and policy impacting low-income Rhode Islanders.
The event, attended by more than 30 legal practitioners and community leaders, was the first in a series of “Justice for Breakfast” meetings designed to promote awareness and understanding of poverty law issues in our State. The Center for Justice will continue to conduct these sessions and disseminate information relating to the most urgent threats to the welfare of our clients and our ongoing efforts to fight back. Thank you to Senator Whitehouse for your support and partnership.
