LeadSafe Homes Legal Clinic
In partnership with R.I. Housing the CFJ is working to ensure all Rhode Islanders can live in a lead safe home environment. The RI Housing LeadSafe Homes program works with owners and occupants to cover the costs of dealing with unsafe lead hazards, including the cost of alternative housing for tenants when the lead removal work is being performed.
The Center for Justice hosts free legal clinics to educate owners and occupants about Rhode Island's lead safety laws and programs. Some of the clinics specifically focus on residents and properties located in Central Falls and Pawtucket. Due to the pandemic, these clinics are currently hosted online.
